Microsoft Announces Conformance To OpenChain 2.1 (ISO/IEC 5230)
“Microsoft sees ISO/IEC 5230 as a critical part of the management of open source in commercial relationships,” says David Rudin, Assistant General Counsel, Microsoft. “The OpenChain standard provides a clear, effective and universally suitable framework for open source license compliance. Would be interesting to know which part of MS this addresses. Or does it comprise the complete organization? If yes, it would be even more interesting to learn about how they achieved the rollout and how they keep track of remaining compliant… Probably we could even learn how many resources they dedicate(d) to achieve this?
